Sarikei Trip

Went to Sarikei in March and had a blessed time in Sarikei on the 7-9 of March. All 36 of us left on the 7th at 7pm and the journey took about 7 hours and only arrived at 3am. It’s one heck of a journey.

Was sitting next to Randy . It was raining “cats & dogs” all the way down to Sarikei from the minute we left Miri. The worst part of all, water start sipping in into the cabin. So those sitting on the window sit, we literally wet from the rain. I remember that Naya one of the guys actually sat on the mineral water carton throughout the whole journey. 1 word to sum up the whole journey, “terrible” sit was small and rain water sip in. It was terrible.

So arrive at 3 a, carried our stuffs and everything. All the musicians including myself have 4-5 bags each. 1 for clothing, 1 bag pack, 1 for our individual instrument, 1 sleeping bag and 1 extra bag for extra equipment such as effects and tools or extension plugs.

The next day we had a workshop with the Sarikei Youth. The theme is Worship Delight Yourself In The Lord. So everything about worship is the focus during the workshop includes the spiritual part of worship such as what the Bible says about worship and the technical aspect of Praise & Worship.

During the nite, we had a concert, call “Exuberant Night” in which the name speaks for itself really well. Yea, the whole trip was Exuberant all the way. I was very blessed spiritually and we had a great time. We enjoyed ourselves. It’s a time to renew our commitment with God and I was very much blessed by His word. Thank You God!!!

Some pics during the trip…

Happennings Part 1

Well its been a long time I haven’t update my blog. Sorry people!!

January 2008- Went to Chiang Mai, Thailand for holiday with my family. Spend 6 days in Chiang Mai. Surprisingly, the trip is better than expected. As Chiang Mai is in the north of Thailand, so the climate is cooler than Malaysia. It was funny as the weather looks very deceiving. I told my sister to get ready some thick clothings so she did and we all did. Then when we arrived, looking at the weather, she said this doesn’t look cold to me..looks really hot. So after we cleared the immigrations and stuffs and got our luggage, she walk out the airport, she ask, how come they is air-cond outside the airport, then my mum told that it’s the weather la….temperature is cool…about 11 celcius in the morning and night and 18 celcius in mid day.

AirAsia to Thailand

So during our time there, we went on elephants and so on…try different Thai food. Shop.. the stuff there are super cheap…for my sis n mum..it was a shopping sphere for them hahah..

Stayed in a hotel…cost us RM 49 per night…Really worth comes with wireless internet connection, hot shower, fridge and a satelite tv…and including breakfast..

So, went to few places. The open market at where the 700 yr old wall is situated near the canal is a must see place. Lots of items are on sale from clothings to kitchen where and also souvenirs. First rule in Thailand, always bargain to a lower price. Thats how cheap the stuffs are.

We are really blessed to be in Malaysia compare to what I see. Esp petrol price. In Thailand, people are paying 30.49 baht per litre of petrol and we are only paying Rm 1.92 and we are screaming our heads off. So think!!!

Thats all for now!!

I let the pics do the talking..enjoy! Cheers!

Christmas Day is Here!!

Hello all, it’s Christmas!! Well our church had a Christmas Eve service last which is short but very meaningful. We, the eym present an item in church and we had fun!!! We ended the presentation with blasting confetti in church. Hehe. Message was about what Christmas is about and reminds us to be ambassadors of Christ in the world. It’s also a time to bless others around in every way possible.

This morning, we had our Christmas Service and the Canada Hill Music team present a a song entitled This Little Child. Its a wonderful song and reminds of why Jesus came to the world.

After the service, we went ‘ngabang’ or house visiting in Iban. We first went to Alan house and had a wonderful time there and then to few other brothers’ and Sisters’ house. In total, we went to 7 houses. The one thing this year, we came in youth group to visit few houses and then they request us to sing and why not, since we are there to bless people, we bless them with our voices that God had bless us with. Overall we had lots of fun and tomorrow would be going to few more houses.

God is the Answer!!!

I have written this about 2 weeks ago.

I got up and opened up my laptop and logged into RBC.NET. Went to today’s Quiet time and reading. I like the topic today and the passage. It really speaks to me and thus keeps reminding me, that GOD is always there and mightier than any other forces in the world.

It’s taken from

Habakkuk 1:1-5 (New International Version)

Habakkuk 1

1 The oracle that Habakkuk the prophet received.

Habakkuk’s Complaint

2 How long, O LORD, must I call for help,
but you do not listen?
Or cry out to you, “Violence!”
but you do not save?

3 Why do you make me look at injustice?
Why do you tolerate wrong?
Destruction and violence are before me;
there is strife, and conflict abounds.

4 Therefore the law is paralyzed,
and justice never prevails.
The wicked hem in the righteous,
so that justice is perverted.

The Lord ’s Answer

5 “Look at the nations and watch—
and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
even if you were told.

It’s like we complaint of our struggles and pains. We get angry for no reason and blaming others for everything. Disappointments after disappointments. But then v.5 says that

The Lord ’s Answer

5 “Look at the nations and watch—
and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
even if you were told.

(Source: Biblegateway.com)

I love that verse. It says above all everything is under control with God. God knows what is he doing and He knows best of any of out plans.

This passage also reminds me of the message yesterday by Ps Daniel Singh. The title of the message is Hearing from GOD. Taken from Genesis 22

In this passage, God told Abraham to sacrifice his only son. How do feel when God ask u to that? Would you do it? What more to say you sacrifice your son (only son) to God?

Many of us would not want to take that step. But Abraham did. He actually took that step.

He did it out of obedience. To my understanding, Abraham did not rebel against God. Just as he was about to sacrifice his son, an angel of the Lord told him to stop and he said… 12 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”

And then, 13 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram [a] caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.”

So just as something is going to happen, (usually something unpleasant, There is always a blessing in store out of it. Just like the story of Abraham, he obeyed God to sacrifice his son but God told to stop and at the same time, a ram was coming up the mountain from the other side, and God told him to sacrifice the Ram instead of his son.

Looking back, bad things may happen for a reason and I personally believe that God has a wonderful plan that He is going to reveal in his own time. The only way is we put our trust in God and have faith in Him. We just need to be aware of the calling and learn to fix our eyes and ears to God. God may ask us to do something impossible but in Him it’s possible. Amen!!!

Thank You Jesus for speaking into me!!! In Jesus Name, Amen.
